SSD's are becoming the new storage device for computers in replacement for the hard drives. They are more expensive but they are all made out of electrical components. Having no moving parts makes the drive a lot faster than the traditional hard drive. If you are looking for a SSD I would recommend the Crucial SSD. Just backup everything onto a external hard drive and replace and put the new SSD in your computer and reinstall the operating system and you are all done. Also upgrade the firmware on the SSD.
