Hello everybody this is 2cool4games here today I am going to talk about traffic signs and the Environment. Here's what he said. 1. Energy Efficiency:

Particularly intersections
-2 types:
-Signalized
-Unsignalized ( Stop signs)
2. Traffic Lights VS. Roundabouts.

A study of 24 intersections converted to roundabouts found:
- Crashes dropped 40%
- Injury crashes dropped 76%
- Fatal crashes dropped 90%
3. Unsignalized Intersections
Stop signs save many lives, but excessive proliferation
Small roundabouts starting to appear.
4. Time = Money

10 Seconds of delay x 3.000 cars
=8.3/day/stop sign
x $20/ hour( Average wage)
= $167 / day of lost time for that stop sign
=$60.875 /year
+ $51.363 gas costs= $ 112,238/ year for that sign
PV of that annuity discounted @ 5% = $2,244,766!!!
5. Stop sign invented in 1915
Yield sign invented in 1950
That’s all we got
6. A yield sign means that you must yield the right of way
- if there are 5 cars waiting. You’ll be the 6th
it lacks the notion of alternating ( taking turns)
Always on the minor road entering the major one.
7. The world needs a new type of sign.
